  • Military Care Packages Remsen-Union will be sending 3 care packages to soldiers serving out of the country.  Those soldiers are: Derek Swain-son of Mrs. Shawn Schroeder, Remsen-Union, Para-Educator,  Josh Schiltz- son of Amy Harms, R-U Para-Educator and brother of Makenzie Harms-Sophomore,  and Tyler Schiefen-nephew of Ms. Fischer-TK Teacher.  All students, teachers and the community are invited to participate by providing letters, pictures, or items.  (See list of suggested items.)  Please bring your items by May 2nd.  Sponored by Rockets of Character! Items List

  • Sharing of MS Athletics Meeting There will be a community meeting regarding the sharing of athletics in the Middle School with Marcus April 15, (Tuesday) at 7:15pm in the RU Auditorium.

  • Rocket Boosters Scholarship The Remsen-Union Rocket Boosters will be awarding two $250 scholarships; one awarded to a senior boy and one to a senior girl. All students that have participated in any extracurricular activities during their time at Remsen-Union are encouraged to apply. Guidelines are found below.

  • Make-up Day The scheduled make-up day for January 6th (the Cold Weather Day)  will take place on Monday, April 21st .

  • New Security All visitors entering the Main door must now be "buzzed" in to the building.  You will find a "door bell" on the far left side of the main doors.  This is just one of the new features Remsen Union has added to its security procedures.  Thanks.

  • Weight Room The RU Weight Room is open to all community members (18 and over) on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  5:30 - 8:00 pm.

TOP 5 Banquet

Our Top 5 Banquet that was held on Friday, April 11 at the Golden Pheasant. Students in grades 9-12 who were the Top 5 in their class were recognized. It was a great event. Our guest speaker was Dr. Lisa Remy, Superintendent of West Des Moines Schools. She is a 1985 graduate of Remsen-Union.
